But nothing compares to the blossoms of the water lily - for many, the primary reason for water gardening. You can go in two directions - lilies local to your area bloom prolifically if they have enough sunlight, and are no problem to overwinter (or in the south, survive the heat). Or you can grow increasingly exotic varieties if you have the time to give them the care they will need to survive the extremes of your local climate.
